FREE Easter Weekend Concert

Suzuki Strings hosts the Young Artist Chamber Players in a free concert on Saturday, April 19, at 4 p.m. in St. Jude's Episcopal Church, 70 North 200 West. Jack Ashton spent his career in the Utah Symphony and has developed this elite performance group which has toured Europe several times  and includes advanced performers from the Salt Lake area. The YACP will perform part of of Tchaikovsky's Serenade , a new Piece by Chad Cannon called Chaconne for After a Storm , a movement of Vivaldi's Triple Concerto and a newly composed piece called Fantasy on Mormon Hymns by Robert Cundick. Suzuki Strings will join the Young Artists in movements from Vivaldi violin and Teleman viola concerti as well as themes from New World Symphony  by Dvorak. Suzuki Strings alumni and teachers are welcome to participate in the joint pieces. We'll rehearse at 1:00 p.m. with YACP and have a break before the 4 p.m. concert.
